After many attempts to uninstall and reinstall IE I gave in and contacted IE support . Not that I don't install IE7 immediately but since XP shipped with IE6, thanks for maintaining that choice. It's maddening! Now the version of Vgx.dll is 7.0.5730.13, so obviously MS07-050 is missing but it won't let me install KB938127 on XPSP3.
