You are already running Service Pack 1 (such as you just purchased a new computer with Vista Sp pre-installed). After you install this item, you will have to restart your computer. So I downloaded all available updates then restarted computer. 2) Then I checked for updates again to get to SP2. I found simply uninstalling the update, restarting, and using the standalone installer (link above) work's perfectly fine for me though.
